Old World Spanish Charm

Cerveseria means – brewery or bar. This is my 2nd attempt to dine in this place and finally – we made it inside.  It is a must to have a reservation … and now I know why.  Kudos to the culinary team of Chef Gilbert Pangilinan! Buena Comida!

The ambiance is old world … hard bound books lined the walls, white chandeliers with candle drips,  hard wood tables ( with a secret compartment below to hold bags , etc. ) and chairs , gauzy curtains, intricately designed walls … leaning towards Hogwarts and gothic.

Sangria – wine punch consisting of chopped fruit ( orange & apple ) , sweetener, red wine and brandy.  You may order by the glass or pitcher . But from my point of view? Have a great fiesta – order a pitcher or two!!!

Mojito – traditional Cuban highball made of white rum, sugar, lime juice, mint and sparkling water.

Sauvignon Blanc

Sauvignon Blanc – wine that originated from Bordeaux region of  France. Name was probably derived from the word sauvage ” wild” and blanc “white” from the early origion of the indigenous grape.

Cerveseria Paella

Cerveseria Paella – Php 750 –  What is Spanish meal without Paella. Many people view this as Spain’s National Dish but Spaniards think this is just a regional Valencian dish. This is white rice, seafoods (crabs “cangrejo” , shrimp, fish ) , veggies (beans) , chicken, meat … and of course, saffron and olive oil. This Cerveseria Paella is very good.  This is served with a mustard on the side.

Bread w/ Olive Oil
File from Web

Bread with olive oil – FREE –  this bread is somewhat sweet and a bit crunchy … and I love this.

Chorizo la Rioja

Chorizo la Rioja – Php 195 –  this tapa is one of the best I have tasted.  This is made from coarsely chopped pork and pork fat, seasoned with smoked paprika and salt. This is salty … in a good way.  This can either be smoked and spicy. Great to go with beer!

Enselada de Queso Pecorino – Php 190 – greens with pecorino cheese, cashew nuts and grapes.

Nachos with Tomato Salsa

Nachos with Tomato Salsa – served in a triangular paper and a tomato dip.

Salpicao – served with Jalapeno pepper .  This is the only dish that I don’t particularly like.

Boquerones Fritos

Boquerones Fritos – Php 158 – Fried Baby Anchovy with Garlic Aioli and a lemon wedge

Coca de Chorizo

Coca de Chorizo – Php 450 –  crust is akin to pita bread topped with Spanish chorizo, gouda cheese and bell pepper.

Foodie Notes :

When gold bars are in your table –  BUY ONE TAKE ONE on beers. When you use it, it signals you want the “take one” served to you .

Fridays 10pm onwards – 80’s night

Saturdays 10pm onwards – latest beat night

So for a real fiesta … this is one place I’d recommend.
